Reputable source for OEM Kymco parts?
« on: November 09, 2012, 08:45:34 PM »
I'm looking for a reputable source for OEM Kymco parts. Any recommendations?

I can tell you who not to use:

kymcopartsonline- They accepted my order, charged my card, failed to ship an in-stock part for over a month. Zero customer service. I cancelled the order, received confirmation of the cancellation, but they never refunded the charge. Their explanation was that they have a new, second warehouse and that "This company is really a mess right now." No kidding. Finally had to dispute the charge through my credit card company.

kymcoparts123- They accepted my order, charged my card. I didn't receive an order confirmation or tracking number, so two weeks later I called them to inquire about the status. The guy that answered the phone said "Oh yeah, we're no longer selling Kymco parts and your order was cancelled." No notification of such a thing was ever sent and they didn't refund the charged. Careful with these clowns, their site is still up and you can still order parts.

Anyway, just looking for a company where I can order parts online and actually receive them.

Thanks in advance!

www.scooterworks.com/ - Great
http://www.partsforscooters.com/ - Great - Super fast shipping

http://www.stadiumyamaha.com/ - Slow, but you get your parts. First order they said in stock. Got part a month later. Second order, they said they had in stock. Took a month and a half to get.

 >:( Scootertronics - They lied to me twice about parts order and I had to call Visa to get the charge taken off my card. Not happy.

Thanks for your comment on Kymcoparts 123.  This is an offshoot of Don Woods Automotive
(Don Woods Polaris) in Athens,  Ohio.  Quite a large organization.   I too initiated an order,  sent
actual photos to be sure I got the right color panels and / or parts.  Got a black cowl instead of gray
and the larger clear windshield instead of the tinted one.  I made both work ok.  I never got an e-mail reply and it seemed like whenever you called the person you asked for wasn't there anymore.   After
several months,  I sent letters and called about two outstanding items.  One was there, but never shipped and the other had never arrived.  Later I found out it had been redesigned thru this forum.
