Batteries have planned obsolescence in them. I had a bad battery on an old Sentra,
I bought some stuff from JC Whitney VX-9 or something. I added that stuff to the
battery and that battery never died, It sounded weak at times but always started
the car. I used it for 6 more years then sold it with the car. As far as I know it's still
going storng!

I saw my bro on Saturday when he rode over to mine on his 2012, 850cc Triumph Thruxton. He only got the bike about 3 months pr so ago, brand new from Triumph dealer, and said he went on holiday so hadnt started the bike up for 2 wks. The battery was flat and wouldnt start it up when he went to try it on Sat morning. Sounds poor to me? My Agility sat for 3-4 wks uncovered im my garden, never moved, never cranked it, nothing. When i went to start it one cold and frosty morning it fired right up within about 4-5secs. O fitted a new Gel battery about 18months ago so maybe that helps?

Buy a Vespa classic, they have no battery ;D

I've not had the oportunity to ride my scoot in almost 1 month now, did start her last week and ran it for a min at idle. Well temps dropped to about 10 F. last night and 15 thr night before, she sits in an unheated garage and figured I'd better try and run her, after the usual batt hesitation she started right up and stalled as soon as i tried to give her any kind of gas (gotta love those carbs). Anyway after a few minutes at idle she ran flawlessly on her center stand, I shut her down and plugged in the tender. Nice to know she'll start even on pretty cold days and not being tendered for a week or more!
