No idea how this has happened, Son's bike !! will only start when moving its as though its stuck in gear but its an auto ? the rear wheel is very stiff to move when not started, although starts unable to stop without it cutting out.

Have no idea how this has happened, Son wont tell me, the bike will start on the move, if the rear wheel touches the floor off of the stand it will cut out. Also if you try to be staionary the bike will stop running. The rear wheel is quite stiff as if it is stuck in gear, although its an automatic. Any idea's please

Either the clutch is frozen or a roller has jammed. It is easy to remove the TRANS side cover to find out which. There is NOTHING scary inside this machine ie: bearings falling out ect...Don't blame the kid yet! "It's an imperfect world, screws fall out all the time" All the parts are cheap, and it will be easy for a mechanicly inclined friend to see where the problem is. The side cover is the one the one on the left side of the bike. you can hold the belt, and try to spin the rear wheel, and you will see which part is "locked up"

Thank you for your reply, can you or do you know, although a bit tricky to drive is it safe to drive until i am able to look at it tommorow after work ?
