NEW MXU 150 WON'T MOVE AS SOON AS IT WARMS UP!
« on: November 27, 2012, 03:31:43 PM »
NEW MXU 150 (2012) WITH LESS THAN 5 HRS. RUNNING AROUND OUR PROPERTY AT HOME.  FIRST TRIP TO THE TRAILS AND AS SOON AS IT WARMED UP THE ENGINE WILL ACCELERATE BUT THE MACHINE WILL HARDLY MOVE.  I KNOW IT IS UNDER WARRANTY BUT WHAT'S GOING ON.  WE RESEARCHED A LOT BEFORE DECIDING ON THE KYMCO AND THE DEALERSHIP IS 100 MILES AWAY!  REALLY SCREWED UP THANKSGIVING FOR MY GRANDSON....AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH.

sounds like you have cvt problems, very uncommon on a kymco. if you dont want to take it to your dealer you can pull the cvt cover on the left side of the bike, start engine rev it up both pulleys should shift out smoothly, if they dont you have a clutch problem. probably something simple though, these kymco cvt trannys are pretty reliable from my experience. hope you figure iy out.
