Fuel in oil tank. Whoops.
« on: November 28, 2012, 03:29:46 AM »
How badly did I f*** up.

I just opened up my oil cap and spray some 98 octane fuel in. Not a lot went in, it overflowed almost instanntly.

Do I need to do anything to rectify this?

How much of an idiot am I?

Should I hand in my man certificate?

Cool, thanks mate.

Does this need to be done immediately? I'm time poor right now. In fact, I'm at work while posting this ha!

I assume there's no lasting damage?

..kinda hard to say if all is okay...

.."not a lot went in" is a relative term...

...sooner th better, bro....

..oil pumps deliver metered oil, that, oem should have a decent margin of error...

..to introduce "raw" fuel into that ratio...

..i just dont know...

I would drain it, fill it with cheap or used oil, run it for a few minutes and drain it again
