This forum is garbage.. Only good thing about the zx50 also is that its an af18 clone.. And has disk brakes.. The quality of the body parts are like chinese junk.. Wont spend no real money on it.. Ill stick to my honda :D

I already told you on the honda forum about which gears to use, and I gave you a link to my build for the gears. Not sure why the diss on the forum or the bike but if you dont like either dont use them.

I hear ya, hope you enjoy the scoot thats all. If I were in Fla Id be riding everyday, this weather up here is rediculous. 25 degrees most of my 2 strokes will barely start let alone go for a ride.

Dude i love it.. It rides like a caddilac haha.. Really smooth..i ride so much man but this island is 2x3 miles.. So just short rides..im guessing the previous owner did the cdi mod.. I overlooked everywhere and couldnt locate it.. Buttt towards the back of the bike some tie strapped the box to the frame with a bunch of wires coming out.. Lmk can you givee tour email so i can send you a picture and maybe tell me what you think? Without cdi restriction what mph would you see.. Ive done 44 on it

Ya it looks like it works on the KYMCO Manboy / ZX50 so should be correct...

Its the splined shaft on the af16/18 secondary counter that really matters. As far as I remember its the same diameter on both but the af16/18 is splined and longer. And for the final drive gear ours(zx) is splined and not smooth(af16/18) on the inside as our final drive(zx) is held by a c clip and the case side not pressed onto the output shaft like the af16/18.

I was just trying to make a joke about the Kymco called "Manboy", so you mean it says
it works on the ZX50 but it really doesn't?

I came late to the party but have figured out there are about 5 or 6 variations on the GY6
motors and no one clarify's what their selling. It used to be you bought it and it worked now
many times it doesn't and your left scratching your head and having to buy 10 different ones
to get the one that works...

Quite a bit of my knowledge is from Zombie on here, a small amount of trial and error on my side but that guy was definitely my source of knowledge for the zx. Him and my neighbor would probably get along really good.
