List of cheap upgrades to my stock kymco super fever ZX
« on: January 17, 2013, 03:32:24 PM »
Hey,

I'm looking to spend $100.00 on some upgrades on my 2003  kymco super fever zx.
Was wondering if someone could give me a website or a place to buy parts at a reasonable rate.

I'm looking for a upgraded carb and a air filter that would work with it (I hate the stock air filter)
I'm also looking for some cheap yet fun projects (led lighting / whatever)
Since I'm a complete noob to turning the wrench, i'll probably need help... lol.

If you are running a stock cylinder you should run the stock carb and airbox..have you done the cdi mod? The shorter boss? Fresh weights and belt? Do a little reading and youll see some easy mods for your scoot.. With your $100 i would order a nice variator and ramp plate

Modding the air filter can be free. I'd grab some DR. Pulley sliders 1gm less than stock
then buy 60 lottery tickets and hope to win enough for a bigger scoot!

So, what type of variator would you recommend? I'm looking for more MPH.
Does this look good?

New clutch springs? Are these okay?

Should I replace the rear shocks for a better ride? What do you recommend?
If I want to get a 80CC big bore kit, which one should I get? What type of carb should I get?
