Variator Rollers

ok looking to ordering new roller weights but i have no idea what size they are?? anyone know???  also which way should i go if i want higher speed with lower rpm thanks the only mod i have is, i got a leo vince 4scoot exhaust on it... everything else is stock.. anybody know of a intake? i search for an k&N but no matches

Wow, Racing Planet is awesome, they've got the coolest stuff.

Try the Naraku 23 grams, or the Malossi Multivar, and get a belt, and the vario tool, let us know how you do.

yeah 140 for a belt is a lil bit too much for me... found  one for 56 oem belt

Absolutely

Not saying they have the best prices. If you can find it somewhere else cheaper by all means buy it. I just suggested them because you can find parts specific to your make and model... i.e. roller size... Always search for a cheaper price.

ok so my next question is... to remove the variator nut, i either need a impact drill or a tool to hold the variator in place... well is there an specific torque setting???  since i cant set a torque in my drill... any suggestions?

I had no luck with just the impact wrench.  The People and Xciting are essentially the same variator.  See my thread http://www.kymcoforum.com/index.php?topic=1837.0

Here's my post about DR Pully Sliders.  I got them from a Buggy shop, NW Buggy IIRC. They work great and take out the dead spot in the middle of the power band. Make sure to get them in the correct way.

   when you install rollers or sliders do you put them in at 6 oclock or 12 oclock metal facing to the right,. thanks for any info,.

Did you read the post  I referenced in the last posting?  I have photos and a drawing.  I know the drawing that come with the sliders is confusing.

I am a new registered member of this forum. I have been following this forum for probably five years, but this is my first post. I recently moved for a new job and that move leaves me with a 30 mile commute, mostly 4-lane highway travel. I was excited to be able to ride my Xciting 250 on the commute until I discovered that in order to keep up with traffic I was forcing my rpm's into the dreaded red zone. I was seriously thinking about selling the scoot and buying a motorcycle, but a scooter fits me (and my being). Then I read about the use of heavier roller weights/sliders on this forum and after much consideration (and against the recommendation of the local Kymco Dealer) I ordered a set of 22g. Dr. Pulley sliders. I installed them last night and commuted the 30 miles today. I don't want to overstate the difference, but I feel like I am riding a completely different scooter. Pick up from a dead start is immediate as opposed to a slight hesitation, over all pick up is better, and at 120km's/hr I have reduced my engine speed by 400 rpms! I now cruise at 120 km's/ hr at a comfortable 7,100 rpm's. I am ecstatic! Time will tell if this was the right decision, but at the moment ;D I couldn't be happier. Thanks to all for your help!

Tailgate welcome to the forum..... i do have to say that i find the speedometer is a little bit off... at top speeds is about 5 miles off.... just a little fyi.... i ended up ordering 22g holga rollers...
