I think I have an issue.
« on: February 18, 2013, 02:25:37 AM »
It's called motorcycle riding.

Earlier this week I rode in below freezing temps (at 1 AM on my way home from work).  I rode in fog.  I rode in rain.  I have rode in 90+F temps.

I have enjoyed every moment of it.  Even the parts that I should have hated.

Why do I do this?  Because I am a rounder.  A year round rider.  I am a biker.

houndguy, Love it. I too enjoy year round riding. Went riding Saturday. It was a balmy 47 F with wind gust up to 20mph. In sunny Alabama no less. I just put on my balaclava and undies from my snow mobiling in Colorado and I was all set. Thanks for the blog. I really enjoyed it.

Riding gives the lots of thrilling and excitement experience for everyone, especially for the young generation.  It is somewhat difficult and dangerous thing, so many people getting fear to participated in riding, but today even small kids also doing this one.

I'm way late to this conversation, but I'll toss in my piece anyway. haha
I love riding. I'm in Vermont, and have a healthy wet and snow season. Early March 2012, I bought my scooter. And I didn't wait for the weather to get better. I rode in downpours, nice hot weather, etc. In hindsight, I sometimes look back and think, "What the hell was I thinking when I was riding in early March to early April?" Why? Because it was in the low to mid teens with ice and patches of snow on the road. I never once saw another two-wheeled vehicle until early to mid-April - and then only on unseasonably warm days. I grew a bit of a "wack job" reputation at work because it would be snowing, the plow would be salting the parking lot, and I'd ride in on my scooter. I think I deserved to be called a wack job sometimes, because work was up to a hundred mile round trip on my scooter. lol
Ya know, it's like looking back to when you were a teen and you think you were nuts lol.. but ya know what, I still do it! :)
