Question for the smart masses...
My S9 is stock other than the exhaust, which is a Tecnigas Next-R, and adjusted roller weights to accommodate the exhaust for my almost 200 lbs self. I want to smooth out the powerband with a malossi multivar variator, however I want to be certain that I get all the right parts in one order. Can anyone recommend the correct clutch springs, compression spring, and variator rollers for my scooter accounting for my weight?
Even a guess based upon your experience, and/or your own ride, would be appreciated.
I am not looking to build out much more than exhaust and transmission. This thing runs great, just over 50MPH on a flat road, with nice acceleration. I just have a dip in the powerband around 25MPH, and it kicks back in at about 35MPH. My research tells me that a performance variator will nearly eliminate that. I am fairly certain that I will have to get different weight rollers to accommodate the new variator and compression spring. I think the malossi kits come with a white compression spring and 9g rollers. I don't recall my exact current roller weight, but I was looking to just get the right stuff right away.
If your experience is that the malossi kits have all the right stuff to go along with my exhaust and otherwise stock scooter, then I am good with that information.
If your experience tells you otherwise, please throw it out there, and I will take everything you say into account when researching further.
Thanks in advance!
