Quick question guys????

  Finally getting my scoot out on thursday (day off) First place its going is to the dealer to install my new michelin rear tire. Question is.... My oil was changed last fall at 4000 miles drove to 6000 miles and then sat all winter. will it be ok to ride it to the dealer on that oil and change it when i get home?? the current oil is mobil 1 5w50. Also at 4000 miles the gear oil was changed with mobil 1 80w90....does that need to be changed also or should i go another season??

If it was not synthetic, then I would say to change it. But with Mobile 1 you should be fine. Gear oil is fine. Changed mine at about 25,000 miles and it was just a little dark. I would start the bike and let it idle untill the fan comes on. This way the oil is good and hot and should have boiled off any water that may be in the oil before you put stress on the bearings/piston and such when you ride.
