I have never ridden a People so I can;t compare. I have not had any issues with the TNG. Being a basic GY6 engine it is easy to work on and get parts. Having more fun riding my DT300 right now though. Bummer I'm going down to 75 mpg but it still beats the 17 mpg my van gets.
