Still using the stock tires until summer ends... will be changing around June or July... rainy season.

Two years with the stock tires and quite satisfied with them... I just adjust my riding attitude in the rain and slippery roads...

Regarding the brand of tires, we have different brands here compared to the U.S. and Europe...well except for the more popular ones like Pirelli, Michelin, etc.  there are Indonesian, Thai, Chinese brands that are not sold in other countries.   These are cheaper and comparable to expensive brands. Examples are Corsa, Swallow, Mizzle brands

I have just put a new set of pirelli diablos on my scoot and all I can say is awesome. Tyres grip like anything and makethe bike tip into the corners. After alot of calculating I found, as the come now, the 120/7014 on the front and 140/70 14 on the rear are the same rolling diameter or very close to the stock 100/80 14 fronts and 120/80 14 rears.

Will it fit w/o modifications or do you need to remove the rear hugger for the rear 140/70 14 tire to fit?

You can remove the rear hugger or modify the bracket to move it up a bit.

Vivo: Do you have an opinion about the pros/cons of the two rear tire sizes 140/70 14 vs 140/60/14?

The 70 series tire is taller and affects ride quality...ride is harsher... Taller also increases your braking distance because more force is needed to stop a tire with bigger radius.  Taller tire also means poor acceleration... However, taller tires give better mileage but poor handling...  I would go for a wider and and lower tire.... they look cooler... ;D ;D ;D
