New Like 50 2T stalling
« on: April 16, 2013, 12:36:34 AM »
My brand new like 50 2t stalled 4 times when slowing up coming to a stop sign.  There is plenty gas and oil and really not sure why?   Anyone else have any problems with theirs stalling? My first day and a half no problem, then stalled 4 times and then ok remaining part of day.  I'm concerned because my scooter is only 3 days old...any suggestions.

Hello again Leesir, Did you buy your scoot new? Your dealer may have not prepped the machine well, that is checking fuel lines and not keeping the tank filled so that contaminants fouled the carburettor. You have a warranty; take it in and tell them the problem. The synthetic two-stroke works well, most of my early bikes were 2Ts and I never had a seizing problem or holed piston.  Len

It sounds like a simple case of the tickover ( idle speed ) being a little bit too low. This can cause bikes to stall. Usually when you are on the brakes bringing the machine to a standstill.
If the bike has a carburettor, locate the idle ( tickover screw) and turn it 1/4 of a turn clockwise. This will remedy the problem
