Windshield Replacement
« on: April 24, 2013, 09:24:13 PM »
Has anyone installed a Givi Model D294ST  windshield on the Downtown 300i.
I have a 2012 DT 300i and find that @ 5'9 I need about 4 inches taller windshield to cut wind noise and rain.
The Givi looks nice but I would like some feedback if someone has used one. They claim Tall  32.1" vs 26"  factory windshield wide 25.2" vs 16" wide does really worry me so much. I also like to know if it mounts same as factory one. It may be a little tall but thats what I'm trying to find out.

I find that is I duck behind the windshield its nice and quiet, I can hear my gps real clear and it's nice not to have the wind noice at your ears on long rides.
I contacted Puig windshields they inform me that this summer they should release a cruised windshield for the DT 300, they already have the sport one but its 4 inches shorter than the factory one. Either I wait to see what the Puig looks like or I will get a GIVI.

I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of a Biondi windshield for my Downtown.  Both my wife and I liked the look of it much more than the Givi.

Regards,

How much taller is this compared to the stock wind screen?
