A green light means it's OK for you to proceed. . . after the intersection is clear of oncoming traffic.  You started before the intersection was clear and would've been ticketed if there had been an accident.

Don't fret folks, I am not about to cause an accident especially when I am on the scoot.  If I thought there was ANY chance of her hitting me, I would not have proceeded.  And I can guarantee I would not have been ticketed if she broadsided me...
