What was the highest speed you took a fall (from your scooter?)

So far no fall, lucky me.

Only two kinds of riders,  the ones that have and the ones that will. Twice for me. Once from the Agility 50 when I first got it and the old motorcycling instincts hadn't been fully trained out and I automatically grabbed a handful of "clutch" at just the wrong time and dumped at about 20mph. The other was back in my young and foolish motorcycling days when a cage served into a gap just a tiny tad too small without any warning and I couldn't brake fast enough to prevent his rear fender tapping the leading edge of my front wheel. (No space to swerve away,  there was no shoulder just a brick wall on the other side) That one was at about 50 and gave me a few scars.

I had two falls, not on my Kymco tho but with my old scoot....

First fall:  Riding around 5 mph with the wife at back when the front tire hit a crack on the asphalt, tire slid and we fell... crap tires were at fault...

Second fall: Going downhill at around 5 mph also, it was drizzling and car I was tailing decided to stop... it's either I hit the car or hit my brakes... hit the brakes, I fell...

Lesson of the story... never ride slow...  ;)

I had a low side crash at about 30 mph when a bicycle cut in front of me and I grabbed my brakes. I went down on my left side, my helmet hit the street pretty hard and I slid down the asphalt several feet. I knew there was a car behind me so I got up quickly and moved out of the road.

My helmet and jacket did their job. My jeans were ripped up and one tennis shoe came off. No broken bones and the scrapes healed, but not something I want to repeat.

About 10 mph.  Early in my riding career on a dirt bike...trying to go up a steep hill....bike started to stall and I hit the throttle too hard.  Ended up on my back with the bike on top of me.  Also on a minibike at about 10 mph when I shifted gear from 1st to 2nd at WOT....but I was about 11 years old.  Finally, when I started riding again after a 20 year absence.  Went around a corner, waved at a driver that had waved, forgot to look at where I wanted to go, and hit the fence I was staring at (you know so that I wouldn't hit it).  Again, I was going about 10 mph.  Now, I immediately remove the 10 from my speedometer of all my bikes and I haven't had an accident since.  LOL.

I guess if I include other sources of transport, then I can add to the list. actually, the scooter is the only thing I havent crashed lmao
- fell off an atv once as I realized (as a teenager) that doing a wheelie up a hill wasnt the most intelligent thing. I flipped backwards, and the atv rolled on top of me then continued on down the hill.
- again, an atv at full speed, I  was negotiating a narrow trail and the back tire caught a stump. I  flew over the handle bars  in what felt like slow motion, and  landed/skidded a ridiculous distance away. besides some bruised ribs some cuts on my arms and a gigantic/black swollen bruise on my thigh from apparently catching the handlebars as I was flying off, I was ok.
- too many to note on a dirt bike

I do think these experiences made me use my brain when I finally got a motorcycle/scooter on the road. As well, you start to realize that others are probably more of a hazard. so tidying up my own deficiencies (careless riding), will make me safer. ah, also, there is a reason that I switched from large engine motorcycles to small engine scooters. just a realization that large engines decrease my IQ and aid me in making poor decisions. scooters, with considerably less power, keeps me in check.

OK Ill confess I hit the front brakes to hard on wet grass and the scoot went side ways and I flew off.I was only doing about 20 mph so I was ok but more carefull after learning how tight the front brakes can be. Now on the other hand when I hand my honda ruckus I was on the ground more then I can cound because the scoot dont have plastic so I took it dirt bikeing all the time and was rough with it.

So now that everyone here is holding off on their sex life let me ask, what Honda Ruckus did you have the big "R" (250cc)or the little one(50cc)? I'd love to have the big one, highway speed, tons of room to work on things and still room for 2.
