I guess if I include other sources of transport, then I can add to the list. actually, the scooter is the only thing I havent crashed lmao
- fell off an atv once as I realized (as a teenager) that doing a wheelie up a hill wasnt the most intelligent thing. I flipped backwards, and the atv rolled on top of me then continued on down the hill.
- again, an atv at full speed, I was negotiating a narrow trail and the back tire caught a stump. I flew over the handle bars in what felt like slow motion, and landed/skidded a ridiculous distance away. besides some bruised ribs some cuts on my arms and a gigantic/black swollen bruise on my thigh from apparently catching the handlebars as I was flying off, I was ok.
- too many to note on a dirt bike
I do think these experiences made me use my brain when I finally got a motorcycle/scooter on the road. As well, you start to realize that others are probably more of a hazard. so tidying up my own deficiencies (careless riding), will make me safer. ah, also, there is a reason that I switched from large engine motorcycles to small engine scooters. just a realization that large engines decrease my IQ and aid me in making poor decisions. scooters, with considerably less power, keeps me in check.
