OK, today I adjusted the valves and added the front fender trim piece....yesterday they put on my new set of Michelin City Grips. The Italian extendo mirrors are on --- waxed it last night with the great Wax Shop Super Glaze (very hard to find now - I bought a case of it!) Gear and engine oil renewed, screen cleaned.

So, maybe it is complete.
As I "saw" it when I was standing next to it on the sales room floor so many weeks ago.
I love my Like!
PS: maybe ---- giving some thought to removing the big blue box, and finding a nice Euro-style chrome rack for back there. THEN it will have that vintage scooter look, sloping rear profile I really like. (like those Lambrettas I remember as a kid)

I would like to know if the valves needed adjustment or if they were they in spec.

Stig, do you have chroming shops in your area? I suggest you chrome plate your pipe heat shield... will nicely match your other chromes...

Actually Vivo, I was looking at the same thing  down there - and am thinking of some black crinkle paint for that piece - to make it "disappear" into the darkness of the side view. Kind of like the look of those all-black exhausts. Or a big old chrome piece like my old Honda CB 350 - but not a mixture of 2 colors like it is now. I really have to hand it to the Kymco designers though.....all their scooters look impressive in the details of the bodies and visible engine bits.

As always, I do appreciate your input!

Try these new chrome films... you can do some panels also...  ;)

Sorry for the late response...
One was .004 , the other was a very snug .003.
Checked both & set to .004 after letting the scoot sit overnight. So, "cold engine" valve adjustment.
Added a few drops of heavy gear oil on the parts before bolting valve cover  back up. (heavy oil stayed in place while putting cover on)
Ran engine and checked for leaks before putting center plastic cover back on.
