Gates of Hell
« on: May 27, 2013, 08:03:26 AM »
Dan Brown’s description of my country as “the gates of hell” in the American novelist’s latest book has not gone down well with officials in the Philippine capital.

The book “Inferno,” which is being sold in the Philippines, describes a visitor to the city who is taken aback by poverty, crime and prostitution.

How can a big author like himself describe a place he hasn't visited yet?  Hmmm...

Maybe that's part of writing fiction novels...

I'd have thunk it was closer to the gates of Paradise... Not many people read anymore anyways
and they say any publicity is good publicity. Some will go there to verify it is the gates of hell and
some to verify it's not and some to see what the hell is going on there so it will all work out in the
end!
