Open face, full...?

Feel free to post pics, and what you like/dislike about your helmet. Thanks!

We use HJC full face helmets:   CL-16
We also own 3/4 helmets that we used in the beginning.
The 3/4 helmets feel less restrictive that the full face, but once ww got used to the full Faced,
we feel too exposed in the 3/4.
So , it full face unles in a parade where the open face of the 3/4 lets in more air.

Full-Face Flip up HJC....but the kicker is it is size xxxx. Yes extra-extra-extra-extra large.
Because this is my ride to work vehicle here in Ohio (..."what about when it rains...?"Well,  I learned a couple of things as a medic in Vietnam....one is : when it rains you get wet, then you dry off. Don't/mean/nothing.) I also bought and use 'RainCoat' visor water repellent, and 'DeFogIt' for the inside of the visor......after riding blind (had to take my spectacles off too) to work in the dark on a massively foggy morning.

Helmet is a good value and fits well. About $160 online.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

I've been using a Bell Mag 9, it is a 3/4 with a flip-up sun and windscreen. When it gets real cold I use a full face flip up.

I've tried 1/2 shells and full shells in the past and always seem to go back to 3/4 for my daily ride. It's a nice compromise between protection, visibility and getting a little of that wind in the face feeling.

I use a 3/4 and I agree with what MaryK and vespa50sp have to say about them.  Also, since they are smaller than a full face, you have a better chance of them fitting in your storage area.

Schuberth C2 (flip-up). Out-dated by Schuberth C3 & Co, but still a high quality product.

I use a Bell Revolver EVO with a smoke shield.  I love the helmet, but it is a bit noisy.  See it here.
The helmet cam is a Midland XTC 200HD. See it here.
The other is a Sena Bluetooth.  See it here.

I wear a Shoei Neotec Modular Helmet with a pinlock shield.  It is great, one of my better investments.  My wife recommended that I get that helmet.  It is pretty quiet and comes with a removable chin pad.  It is quieter with the chin pad installed but warmer inside the helmet versus no chin pad which is more noise but cooler.

Hmmmm, what so I do  ....

IMO: The higher the price for a helmet,  the better you are off.

If more was better, we wouldn't be riding scooters

When people ask me what helmet to get I tell them to buy the helmet that they will actually wear every time they get on the bike. That's the best one. The one hanging from the back of the bike or that you will skip putting on to go down to the corner store because it is uncomfortable is no good.

I also wear a Bell Revolver modular during cooler weather (mine is an earlier model). In warm weather I wear an HJC CS-2N open face half helmet with an HJC shield installed.
