Stopped because of officers curiosity (or misleaded gut feeling): my wife (African native, on an expensive and at that time rare Piaggio MP3). But everything was ok.

Twice!

Once, several years back. Riding a Vino 2T 50, without tags (which is okay in TN, but the greenhorn ossifer was not so sure).

Last summer, I got pulled over doing 52 in a 35 on the People 250. I was let go with a warning.

Many many times... cops here have check points... they check rider's license and registration... lots of criminals here on scoots...

More check points during election season...

I got pulled over on my old 50cc bike. I was doing 38mph in a 25mph zone. The ticket cost me $195.00 even after it was reduced to a parking ticket. The Vegas cops needs mine money more then I do

They have to catch ya to pull you over, I just don't stop, after we reach city limits they just give up! :)

Lucky so far never seen any flashing lights behind me.

I'm too old to be speeding anywhere.  There just isn't anywhere that I need to get to any quicker than I would by doing the speed limit.  Clean driving record here...

They use a portable speed checker in my town and I've found my old bike
BMW GS650 was invisible to it until you were 5 feet away! The Yager can
be seen by it for 1/2 a mile so I have to keep it in check. Most times they
won't stop you on a scooter but you never know...

Got pulled by 2 cops on scooters for pulling into a bus lane for about 4metres when overtaking stopped traffic once. Cops were great about it tho, checked i was all legal then had a chat with me about bikes and scoots and let me go without any penalty.
Chaos is my co-pilot.

I'm very lucky, the cops in our area don't get all bunched up over speed, my route into work is exclusively a 25 MPH/40 KPH zone and with the exception of 1/2 mile of the 6 mile commute I'm doing 40-45 MPH and so is everyone else. As long as your not driving recklessly the cops don't bug you at all, they are very good that way.

Troutbum:  when I said "lots of criminals here on scoots" I meant that literally...  Usually they are the "gun for hire" criminals... then you have "snatchers"... Usually riding in tandem... Criminals use motorcycles because escaping is faster and easier...  This is very sad because the authorities are singling out ALL motorcycle/scooter owners... and worse, they prefer to flag down scooters than motorcycles because scooters have bigger compartments that can hold many or different contraband stuff like guns, grenades, drugs. etc.   The government even tried to propose stupid laws specifically for us riders but happily were not approved because of clamor from us riders...

Here were some of the proposed laws but were never approved...

1. License plate numbers to be printed on helmets.
2. Pillion riding not allowed.
3. Mandatory vests with plate numbers printed.
4. Helmets with tinted visors not allowed.
5. Helmets not allowed ... (most stupidest of them all)

What will they think of next?... I don't know...

They cannot just make laws because when we rally, we rally by the millions...  ;)

So, that's it Marty, I mean Troutbum...  no Freudian slip.... I'm the good guy ....  ;) ;) ;)
