Hi All,

Anyone know if the above flywheel puller will work on a People 150? The manual just calls it an E002 which is seen elsewhere as 27mm x  but don't know if that's accurate or what the "1.0" in this  Amazon ad refers to or even if i need a leftie thread.   :(

Also would I need a flywheel holder (like the manual says you do) or would just an impact wrench do and what size socket? Very limited funds here but need to get this sucker running.

If anyone has tested stators on any similiar scoot please pipe up on my other post here, a question to Scootergrisen in the battery/charging thread    :)

Not sure if this has been answered yet or not.   But this is what I did to remove my stator on a ZX50.  I used a flat head screw driver and used it to wedge the screw driver in one of the flywheel slots and the frame of the bike. Be careful that it's only on the fly wheel and not digging in past to the stator.  Then I just used a socket set I had (don't remember the size, but also may differ based on different bikes).  The pulley puller and wrenches you can pick up at an advance auto parts or auto zone in their tool rental department (if you live in the US.) They are usually free just with a deposit, as long as you bring them back and don't destroy them, you will get your money back. Hope this helps!

Thanks Solumized. Very helpful to hear I don't need a special holder.  ;D  Curious if you ever tried to start your bike with those 3 wires coming of the stator disconnected. Mine don't start that way but i've read indications that it should.

Good tip about autozone, etc. Don't have any auto stores around but still....

Larks,

I have never heard about trying to start it with those connections undone.  Unfortunately I can't try it anyways as I just broke my coil plug.  Got caught on my shorts and ripped it apart.  But, when I order that I will also be getting a new stator just rule out any of the problems I have going on now.

See my post under Xciting 250 "Possible Charging Issue".  Be sure to buy the gasket for the engine block half.   I used same gasket with silicone seal and it has slight leak.   $156 for parts and I never did reach 14.6 VDC.   Gets 13plus at idle and has been running ok.
