Newby on board!
« on: June 27, 2013, 12:26:16 AM »
Just hopped on board the forums here. I just got my first scooter and really love it - a 2007 People 150 that had only 146 km on it, so just about brand new. My wife also got her first scooter at the same time - a Lance Havana Classic 125. We are having a ball riding them, and our gas bill has sure dropped since we started using them. This will be my main commute vehicle - until the cold and snow sets in, then it's back to using my F150 (and higher gas bills). But I will ride the scoot as long as I can!

Same here. Just purchased a 2013 Like 200i and love it. Already tried some Plasti-Dip on the rear storage box. Been lurking around the forum for a few weeks and learned so much. Great place!

Welcome aboard GLV55 and Crawfish. Crawfish, you are going to enjoy the Like. I bought mine last year at the end of July. 3,600 miles and counting. Runs better with each added mile I put on her. Be sure to checkout the Like 200i section of the forum for some info you might find useful.

Welcome GLV55 and Crawfish... @GLV55: is it just coincidence that you have a P150 and F150?  ;D and at the extreme ends... one sips gas and the other guzzles...  ;D    and Crawfish: the Like is a great machine... lots of people here have Likes...

I never thought about that...guess I have a thing for 150s. The P150 costs about $5 to fill the tank and I get about 75 mpg (still breaking it in) and the F150 costs about $70 to fill and gets 15 mpg on a good day with a tail wind. Guess which one I'm driving the most?! Just loving this scooter! Should have gotten one years ago!

GLV55: Scoots are fun and the 150cc's are perfect sized engines... The nice thing about having a truck is that you can carry your scoot, say, for a vacation to a distant town and have a scoot to scoot around town...

VIVO: the good news is that this scoot actually came with a carrier and a ramp so I can haul it around - best of both world, I guess.
