Wire Couplers
« on: June 27, 2013, 09:10:11 AM »
Perhaps a small problem, but it's hard to explain. When I shall have
box up on the seat in so I can get down to mortoren, seat box then there are 2
wires to be the first. One is the light down in the seat box and the other is to
a charger for mobile phone. The one with the light it's easy enough to get separated, but the
Mobile phone lets it I do not see how is assembled and can not take it apart
even if I pull at each end. How is it collected? how separated the ad? each
time I had to turn it apart and it is quite difficult especially when it is now clear
probably it is to disassemble. But how? has some experience and can help?

Mine has a simple clip that you have to pry up while seperating the wires. It might be tied to the frame farther down the wire

That plug is a pita!!  I always have trouble with it.  It is very simple once you figure out where to lift up tab.  I always have to get one of the guys in my shop to do it.

I just did this the other night.
Disconnect the battery.

Then disconnect the lamp by pulling the lamp housing out 1st, the uncoupling the disconnect.  Then I pulled the plastic tub out from the under seat but still had the charger plug connectedso the tub was only partially up.  I got access to the disconnect for the charger plug at the rear of the space.  Easy Peasy from there on.
