super 8 styling

Hi , im sort of considering to add something on my super 8 to make it look more interesting. So im looking for advices what i can do , anything except mechanical changes / stickers / anything similar to that. Might be some extra stuff.

What color is your s8?....  start removing existing stickers, it will look different...

Do you think its possible to put different dashboard , like digital one with rpm and all that stuff or due to poor wiring it might get complicated.

the dashboard is extremely simple on the Kymco... all the wires in the dash are to the light bulbs, the speedometer is connected directly to cable from your front tire, and your gas gauge... the clock hardly draws power. There is very little power available on a 150cc engine so finding an electronic dash that is energy sparing while converting the mechanical cable system to digital and to read your gas gauge will not be a cheap conversion... it would likely cost more than your bike as there wouldn't be any mass production to off set the costs.

Been trying to find a price on that one too... I know they exist, I have read about them but good job on finding an actual pic!!!

This video shows it working.  It has a rev meter as well.  Rather nice looking one.  Curious what new wiring is needed to get it to read the rev meter, it might need to connect to the Light Control Assay unit for that. 

Koso makes that speedo... its apparently a Canadian company. The Koso North American catalog does not contain the Super 8 speedometer kit.  I would guess the price is around $300, judging from some of the other kits available and there is still the new wiring for the tachometer.  Still, a really impressive find Vivo!

Koso is Taiwanese... that speedo is really for the Yamaha Mio... the Super 8's panel was a bit converted to accommodate the speedo...

Hey guys, just picked up a new super 8. I enjoy this little scoot very much. The one issue I have is the seat comfort. I think I have the skills to re-pad and reupholstered but if you guys know any resources for me that would be a great help. So would design ideas.

Also, the starter hand control box that the right rear view mirror attaches to is loose. It looks like the screw to tighten it back down is behind the fairing. Is there a trick to getting the fairing off so I don't break an attachment tab. I figure this will also give me a reason to start rattle-canning the scoot.  ;)

Btw about the seat , is there any seat cover which prevents it from getting covered in ice during winter times? Last year it was a pain.
And i have removed all the stickers , actually looks more fancy.

The kit comes with senders and sensors and once installed, you calibrate the speedometer by measuring the tire diameter and entering the figure to the unit... the only major conversion is the instrumentation panel... This Mio speedo can also be fitted on other bikes with the triangular type panel..

i just purchased a super 8 150 and was wondering if i put a LED strips on it if it would void the warranty. i am talking about the $60  stick on led strips that you can get at like auto zone or advance auto parts.
