The brass barrels in the DR PULLEY seperates from the outer ring! I have only read that in one post W/ another response stating the same. So I wouldn't worry or lose sleep over it. As far as inspecting, I only have opened my side case 3-4 times in 3 years.the first 2 were installation, and tunning, the third was to replace the kick start, and put in the 5.5 rollers, (had 6g), and the last time was to pull the variator to check the seal on the crank. I did notice the malossi parts are starting to turn blue (from the heat) but I try to vary my rpm's ALL the time, so as not to get a "set" in any of the components. I think when I get my piston I will also replace the rollers as I am sure they no longer weigh in correct, but they are not flat. I just noticed that the threads here always get re-dirrected.
