My Road 700 Finally in US

I just checked the USA Kymco site and it lists the My Road 700 for $9,600.00. But unlike the other versions it say's it has the same magnetic key system not the expected key fob.

Bike too heavy and out budget for me and anyways I'm not the touring type.  Would love to see the Xciting 400 though that is already out in other countries.   I think the DT300 is the perfect bike for commuters. Light and powerful 29HP and 295 cc.  I'm sold but the only thing is I wish it had ABS like they do in other countries.

That is a sharp scooter! I believe Kymko manufactures the engines for the BMW C650/600 and I wonder if the engine in the MyRoad is similiar (though larger)....

Yea, I'm not sure who this is marketed for?  I guess it's designed for that older motorcyclist that is considering a scooter cause he can't throw his leg over anymore.

I'm a little disappointed on The My Road 700. I shopped the other big scooters from BMW, Suzuki Bergman 650, Honda Silver wing. I have found that Kymco trying to compete neck to neck in price but does have some features and missing some. I thought they would go for a little lower price like $8995.00 and include the automatic adjustable cruiser windshield,
 and some other features missing. That is if they are interred in taking on the competition.
Kymco is a great product but compared to the BMW that has it's engine and transmission the BMW would be a better choice, and has better ratings. The other is the new Suzuki Bergman 650 loaded with features and nice ride specially the 0.0% X 60 month finance. They are all about the same price range. I heard that Honda is not bringing the SIlver wing back for 2014. So if this is true one less on the lineup. I also heard that Yamaha is not bringing in the Majesty 400 either. This may mean that they are coming out with new models but no one know so far.

I totally agree.  I think a true 300cc's and 29hp really hits the spot.  Keeps the mpg up and the overall weight down.   400cc's could also be good but when I test road a 2007 burgman 400 I felt like it was bulky, heavy and had about the same acceleration as my GV250.  In the top end it has way more than my GV250 and really showed it 400cc's.  I would like to try the DT300.

The problem is for a lot of us "old guys" the 700, like most maxis, still will require one to throw a leg. Not as high but still gotta get on it.

No I think it's designed for cycle riders who the manufactures seem to try to sway and never do. In the never ending quest to try to make scooters "sexy" they attempt to blur the line between scooter and motorcycle. Hondas Forza is another that looks cool but is the best of neither cycle or scooter. Now talk of them bringing over the Integra.

Here's what I do know. At my local dealer GTI300s have sold very well along with the smaller 150s. What has been sitting and now discounted is the same 500 that's been there since April.

I'm not even going to mention the number of LIKEs I've seen roll out of the store. I swear they sell at least a couple a day.

The boat like large displacement scooter has never caught on in the US and I don't think the currant maxis will change that. I will say the Honda Integra has a chance at appealing to motorcycle riders, a chance.
