Downtown 300i GVW? Please someome help me with this.

Will someone please tell me the gross weight the Downtown 300i can carry?  If it will carry my wife and I and 50 pounds more I will buy one.  Thank you for your help.  Ride safe.

WOW, even the Kymco web site won't tell you that....

Not sure how you are going to find out except go to a dealer with spouse and sit on one.... after explaining to the dealer what you need to know.

   we talked about this back in 2011 if I remember right it is 365 lb.s,.  it is mostly the tire cappacity    +you + wife + 50 lb.  =???                              ,.  Wt. front to back,.  I would have to Wt. my scooter,(.did it now,)  front tire 173 lb.  rear tire 238 lb.  = 411 lb.                 tire Wt. carry cap. front 236 lb. rear 617 lb.  =  853 lb.  g.v.w.  of tires,.   these tires are michelin pilot power pure tires,.  check the tires on the scooter you will be buying for wt.

A few months ago I was shopping scoots - the load capacity was something I was checking on all of them.
The load capacity could be discerned by use of the stickers on the scooters.
Weight of the scoot is often listed, gross weight is listed - you do the math - scooter weight from max permissible gross weight = load capacity.
I would not be looking at the load capacity of the 2 tires added together. This figure would likely be far beyond the capacity of the suspension and/or their fix points, the brakes and perhaps even the frame.

most of the Wt. would be on the rear tire with a passenger, so you would have to take that in to account,  should be close to tire rating of back tire,.

 cortez should give you a idea of riding with someone,  he is about my Wt. 210 lb.and he rides with a lady, and luggage ( top case)

On Page 49 under capacities: net weight: 411 lbs.  Last year,  a Kymco dealer told me that the max combined rider weight is approx. 400 lbs.

Thank all of you for your help.  I called a Downtown 300i dealer and was told the GVW for the Downtown 300i is 411 pounds.  This works well for me.  Nest year I will buy a 2014.  Thanks again.  Ride safe my friends.
