Just purchased an 2007 Agility 125, need some advice...
« on: July 30, 2009, 04:56:23 AM »
Hi everyone,

So far I have found this forum very informative, so I'm happy to be part of it.  I just bought a used 2007 Agility 125 with 2700km on it and Im pretty happy with it.  But before I break something....a couple questions from a newbie, non-gear-head (its my first scooter and I don't even know how to change the oil)....

1) Oil Change(s).  How often do I change the oil(s)?  What oil do I use?  Where in http://scootercommunity.com.au/files/folders/bug_kymco/default.aspx do I find out if/how to do it myself?
2) The horn doesn't work...any suggestions?  Is it easy to fix or should I take it to a dealer?
3) Where can I learn more about the other routine maintenance procedures?
4) Easiest/best place to get replacement parts?

Many, many thanks in advance!

Pete

P.s. I figure out an easy way to put a bike surf board rack on the scooter if anyone is intersted!

1. Engine and transmission oil change is a piece of cake.
2. Remove six screws under handlebar/in front of legs from both sides of Tupperware and remove front light along with the plastic frame holding it. You will see the horn then. Check the fuse and check if both wires are connected. Check the horn switch and if both wires are connected there too. If everything is fine, the horn is probably burnt. Buy any horn on ebay or in Radio Shack or wherever for a few bucks and replace it. No need to go to shop for that.
3. Email me, I will send you the maintenance manual with everything inside. catzacid@yahoo.com
4. They say Stadium Yamaha. I use also ebay. But I live in Croatia, what do I know?  ;D

I do mine rather frequent at every 2000 to 3000 k and i use amsoil 10w40 full synthetic. In my gear oil i do every 2500 to 5000k and i use amsoi 75w90 synthetic gear oil. I write down each time i do it from break in to now.
