Road trip through Europe with 50 ccm Kymco :)

My name is Ante, I come from Croatia, beautiful country in southern Europe. Been driving motors for many years, I began with Tomos Automatic

This summer I was on road trip through nine European countries ( Slovenia, Italia, Austria, Liechtenstein, Germany, France, Luxembourg, Czech Republic, Hungary ) and passed 5000 kilometers with my "Little Beast" - Kymco People S 50. This is my blog about that trip, I write it in English and Croatian, I hope that you will like it.

Good morning Ante,
Great bit of writing!
I sat this early morning and read as much as I could find about your trip on your little Kymco.
Thanks also for the photos...maybe you could add titles with the photos so we know where you are?
I also love the idea of small cc scooters, though I am a huge fellow (6'3", 275lbs) on a 163cc Kymco LIKE 200i LX. 55mph is as fast as it will go, and this is 20mph faster than I prefer!

The Best bits which I loved from your writing:
#1) the Alps are too pretty to describe!
#2) Seeing so much beauty is nice - but also painful in a way -- when you have no one to share it with
#3) Happiness has nothing to do with $$!
#4) God made an amazing world for us!

Reading your story makes me think this: Scooters are fun all across the world, and the world is a big place - but a small place too because we share so many thoughts and feelings!
How many miles did you put on your scoot? Any troubles with it?

Great travel log! Great pictures! Way to go! Your comment about growing old and wishing some missions had been accomplished was just right. I listened years ago to older guys saying, "I wish I would have done that and now I am too old," and vowed I would not be that way. Got a motorcycle and rode it. Learned to fly on the GI Bill. Started skydiving when I was 42. Got past 60 and decided to slow down a little and got a scooter. You are definitely on the right track! In my opinion.

Hello to The Heart of It All

I'm big guy too. 190 cm and 91 kilos. It's like 6'3' and 200 pounds.

Sorry for not paste - ing names in front of my photos, it's just not possible on my blog. 

Kymco that u drive is great bike! It has everythin' that I like 'bout bikes - low fuel consumption, air cooled engine, and it's rather big

Well, Tom, when I started this trip Kycmo had 2 kilometers on it, Kymco Croatia gave me a brand new model to go on this trip, they sponsored me When I came back I gave my scooter back to them with little less than 5000 kilometres on it   People S was really great on this big roadtrip, trip lasted for 21 days

I loved your blog  and would LOVE to do such a trip through the US.    Thank you for letting us know about it.

I would suggest that the next time you negotiate a deal with Kymco, that you tell them you want money for a good place to sleep every night.  A warm bed and warm food would be so much more enjoyable.

Well, I can't be angry at Kymco Croatia, they gave me enough money for trip, gas and camp, so....And I rather sleep in camps than in hotels...

My dream is to go across the USA, East coast to West coast, it would be great, some route 66 ( what's left of it ) and beautiful nature...

When I was 18 I hitch hiked with my guitar and backpack and camped from Massachusetts to Florida and then on to the Big Sur in California, and then down into Mexico. Crossed the States 3 times that summer with my 'thumb'. Too dumb to know I could have troubles, so I didn't~!
Beautifull trips, all of them. (Why'd I do it? 'Cause I knew Uncle Sam would be hunting me for a little visit to Vietnam pretty soon. He was, and I did.)
Very glad I did it! Would be a blast on a scooter!

When a man comes to a certain age, he begins to see his life back and realize more and more that such "stupid" things he did were to be one of the best things he did in life .... Life is too short to be a man who is trapped by fears ... And to figure out that when a man enters the autumn of his life, which comes very quickly .... Good for you Stig,  great adventure!
