horn assembly assistance
« on: August 09, 2013, 07:44:58 PM »
I just posted this in the 150 category and thought i may try here.  I bought a People 150 (2006) with no horn.  I pulled off the front fairing and there are two wires (green and light green) that appear to have been cut.  I am wondering if anyone has pics of the horn assembly area so that I can reconnect a new horn.  Thanks for any info.

Welcome aboard 1people.  There is currently a P150 horn for sale on Ebay here:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2012-Kymco-People-150-Scooter-Horn-horn-Bracket-Mount-/400482765914?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3APeople|Make%3AKYMCO|Submodel%3A150&hash=item5d3ea20c5a&vxp=mtr

All you would need to do is put a spade connector on each wire and slide on to the horn connections (visible on Ebay photo).

Good luck.

I hooked a wolo horn on my scooter, and I found that if you switch wires and blow the horn both ways, one way was louder on my scooter,

Thanks for the info fellow Kymco-ers.  I am wondering if the light green wire and dark green wire are in fact the wires that plug into the horn...thanks again.

Here are the pictures of my Stebel Nautilus horn install. It's hard to tell from these pictures, but it is the green and light green wires. They are the ones I hooked up to the relay for the new horn.

Hey all, following this thread as I'm looking to put a new horn in my '04 P150.

I tried to pull off the front fairing but something's not releasing and I don't want to break the panel or any seals or anything.

I unscrewed the big screw on the outside above the chrome and the 2 little ones on the black panel near the glove box.

Really didn't see any other fasteners from the awesome photo's provided on this thread.

That being said, something at the bottom of the fairing seems to be blocking my efforts.

I pulled out, up and down but to no avail..

Hoping to get some help...

Thanks in advance,

Jonathan
