How many keys w/new KYMCO?

I would think a Honda motorcycle key may be close also.  Just a guess.

Today I received my new 2011 Super850  and  it came with 2 keys!

I was able to call a local locksmith.  He told me that Kymco is one of the only companies who makes these blanks BUT he was able to use a blank from one of the Kymco ATVs.  It's got a shorter head on it, but it works great! Two keys for seven bucks...can't be it!

Yeah - my dealer wanted $16 each to order a couple of blanks for me - and said they can't use the code on the tag to send me some already cut.  Well duh - then what good is that code on the tag?  The key looks fairly generic - I'll try my local locksmith.  The shorter ATV key sounds better anyway - I don't like my keys to be any longer than they need to be.

S-8 came with 2 keys.  I ordered a spare because I prefer to have 3.  I also wrote down the key # inside the owners manual.

I recently purchased a used People 125 S and the seller provided two original Kymco keys. I think that any vehicle sold these days comes with two keys as standard.

i have three keys in total, the one i use everyday then i have two spares ?!?! i thought it was odd but i guess the more the better.

my new kymco 300 just purchased came with 2 keys and one with a number on it.....the keys do not have a chip...so you should be able to dup at home depot.....the 300 however has a plastic round piece at the end used for opening and closing the ignition screen (theft prevention feature)...which i think will make the key harder to copy.....i will be finding out shortly..

my advice write the code on the key down ..somewhere.....and hide the spare in a place where you can remember where to retrieve it if necessary....
