engine code 10
« on: August 26, 2013, 12:48:40 PM »
I don't have the service manual on this computer so I'm hoping someone out there can help me. I started the DT this morning and got a code 10. What is it?

there is no code 10,.   but if you have ABS brakes , get it checked,. it is reading code 1 ,.    no ABS, you have a loose wire from the system,  happened to someone else about a month ago,.

I checked the brake system service and they do not list a celp code, no listing on ABS brakes,.  we must be the poor ones in North America,

To bad it's not physically on the DT :o

I'll have to bring it to the dealer and have them put the computer on it

Check out the thread “Engine Fault Code 01 - on LCD” there were references to both 01 and 10 and a possible fix.

I had Engine Code 10. Then I shut off the ignition off and started back up. No more Code 10. Couldn't get it to reappear.

I keep getting the 01 and 10 code even with the reset. Time to call the dealer and have it hooked up to look at the ECU. I also have the issue of surging between 4000-6000 rpm. I wonder if they are related?

Any updates on this?

My 2013 Downtown 200 is now randomly showing either 01 or 10.

My dealer says as long as the CEL doesn't stay on, there isn't an issue.

Still getting both of those too. Dealer hooked up and could not find anything wrong so we'll see. Never have any issues with it. They did say try to use non-oxygenated gas if I can. That does seem to help some.

Lately I've been suspecting a weak battery especially with the colder weather. The battery warning light stays on for a little longer than I think is normal after cranking. Low voltage might be a cause for funny engine codes or maybe an ignition stumble. New battery purchased, but I just need to put it in.

My DT200 is 4 months old. I seriously hope it's not the battery.
