Leovince ZX-R vs. Tecnigas RS-II expansion chamber
« on: August 31, 2013, 07:56:40 PM »
Hello

I am looking to upgrade the expansion chamber on my Kymco Like 50 2T. I recently upgraded the Like 50 to a 70cc engine with the Malossi 70cc cylinder and variator kit.

I am wanting to upgrade my expansioin chamber for two reasons: Want louder exhaust and improved performance.

I have narrowed it down to the Leovince ZX-R and Tecnigas RS-II expansion chamber. I am leaning towards the Leovince ZX-R based off of limitied feedback on Leovince putting out a better quality product.

Does anyone have any experience with the ZX-R or RS-II?

Feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Ross

No experience with either particular model. They're both middle of the road pipes. Not the best or the worst. I have a tecnigas next r pipe and I'm fairly happy with it. Wish I had got the RSII. I do know that the RSII is tuned specifically for 70cc kits. You might want to consider a larger carb if you haven't already. Delorto 19mm is a great choice.

At one point I had a link to a site with some comparison charts... Let me see if I can dig it up.

Interesting that Leo Vince pipes tend to produce more power at lower RPM's... Just an observation
