miles on empty xciting 500

How many miles can one ride (xciting 500) after fuel light comes on  without running out of gas  (fuel) ( petrol)?

where do you need me to bring the gas can?

I have about 3/4 of a gallon left when the light comes on.

Figuring in a safety margin for conditions and delays wasting fuel for me, once that light comes on I'd be looking for a fill up within 20 miles, 30 at the most. More than that and it would not take much in terms of backed up traffic for you to end up pushing it. Slow moving traffic makes it really thirsty.

I don't like walking.  I like walking a 500+ pound scooter even less. When the light flickers I look for a gas station.  Mine usually flickers between 116-135 miles.    You can look at my fill ups below.

I've noticed my light comes on around 125 miles.  It's gone as far as 135 before it came on but that was a time when I was mostly highways.  I've also gone as far as 152 before filling up but I sure was nervous about the whole thing.

It mounts to the bottom of the givi rack for the top case pretty nicely.   30ounces of extra fuel can get you easily to the next gas station.

Mine comes on at or around 140 miles or so, but all I do is tour, no real in town miles to speak of. I think it has around 1/2 gallon or so left. Maybe my light comes on a little latter than other X500's do?

Thanks for the imput.   light came on middle of nowhere and i went  16 miles  to gas station.    Yes, i was worried about pushing it, but thankfully it did not come to that.
